I just saw your comment from a month ago. There is no such thing as a black Exmoor the breed is pure for bay for the most part. In fact the breed does not even recognize black.

They show a range of bay coloration, from pale sandy bays to dark enough to be called a true black.
Dark enough to be called black does not a black make. Pangery has never been shown to express on black if it did it would be a seal brown and all seal browns tested so far have been A?.

Yeah - I do not think testing is common. I had read about the culls being black, but maybe they are really seals without pangere. But that is where my confusion came from lol.
